“If something doesn’t feel right, then challenge the thinking to understand the situation better.“
Director, Business Advisory, Corporate Advisory
Tackling situations in a direct, honest and professional manner is an approach that Grant has applied throughout his career. ‘I’ve learnt that if you take things head-on you earn far more respect,” he explains.
Grant’s open and friendly attitude means he’s able to develop strong connections with his clients, and he believes that this understanding is essential to achieving successful outcomes; ‘I’m very hands on and I like to visit clients premises and have both a personal and professional relationship – this makes the working relationship far more enjoyable’.
Grant specialises in business investigation and advisory work, project management, financial and business modelling, board and management representation, financial restructuring and business assurance. He also continues to provide core tax and business advisory services to a diverse client base in a range of industries.
Before joining William Buck, Grant was Managing Director of another mid-tier accounting firm, so brings a unique understanding of the drivers of business success, as well as the challenges and pressures they face.
Grant believes that ‘complacency’ is the enemy and enjoys working with clients to help their business remain fresh and innovative.
