William Buck leaders raises almost $40,000 in Vinnie’s CEO Sleepout

By William Buck

William Buck SA directors Martin Hill and Michael Fairlie took part in the Vinnie’s CEO Sleepout in Adelaide earlier this month, raising more than $37,500 for homelessness services in the region.

The William Buck Foundation was pleased to donate $5,000 for the cause while many William Buck team members, clients and friends of the firm made generous personal donations.

The money raised will help Vinnies provide much-needed support for people experiencing homelessness and people at risk of homelessness by funding new initiatives and providing accommodation, meals and emergency assistance.

“For one night, Michael and I were joined by other like-minded business leaders seeking to raise awareness and funds to help break the cycle of homelessness that sees thousands of South Australian sleep rough each night,” said Martin.

Michael said that he and Martin were very grateful to everyone who donated to the vital cause which had grown close to their hearts after taking part for two consecutive years.

“Vinnies does an incredible job supporting South Australians experiencing homelessness and William Buck is proud to get behind this charity,” said Michael.

Vinnies, or the St Vincent de Paul Society, designs advocacy, education, counselling and housing programs to tackle the root causes of inequality.
