Congratulations to William Buck directors on being named in the Top 100 Financial Advisers list

By William Buck

Two William Buck wealth advisors, Scott Girdlestone and Andrew Barlow, have made the exclusive Barron’s and The Australian’s Top 100 Financial Advisers 2023 list today, which is largely dominated by global financial institutions.

Scott Girdlestone (position 29) is William Buck’s Head of Wealth Advisory (NSW) and a director in the firm’s Sydney office. He has been ranked on the list – which aims to spotlight the nation’s best wealth managers and raise standards in the industry – for four years running.

Andrew Barlow (position 62) is a director in the firm’s Adelaide office. He’s been with William Buck since 2013 when he joined as a paraplanner and has experienced a rapid but thoroughly deserving rise. This aligns with our philosophy of promoting from within where possible and rewarding talented people based on skills, attitude and results.

Andrew was promoted to director in 2020, based on his strong technical skills and dedication to achieving results for our clients. At the time of his promotion, he became one of the youngest directors in our history aged just 31.

William Buck has maintained a position on the list for almost half a decade. Adrian Frinsdorf, an Adelaide-based director with an exceptionally strong client base and wealth of experience, was listed from 2020 to 2022 alongside Scott.

Scott Girdlestone said William Buck’s regular ranking is testament to our point of difference and advantage as a full-service accounting and advisory firm with a genuine focus on building trusted relationships with our clients.

“The firm’s integrated, full-service model paired with the relationship-driven approach of its wealth advisors is highly valued by our clients,” said Scott.

“Our advisors and accountants collaborate closely to assist high-net-worth families and businesses to build and protect their wealth. By merging financial and accounting know-how, we’re able to offer a commercial yet intrinsically personal perspective to help clients reach their financial goals.”

Scott said William Buck’s progressive culture also affords it greater agility and flexibility when managing clients’ wealth, unrestricted by many of the challenges faced by other firms.

William Buck congratulates Scott and Andrew on their achievement and thanks them for their significant contributions to the firm.
