William Buck welcomes 11 new partners effective 1 July and eight principals, to complete a year with 28 new partners appointed, bringing our total to 145.
Six of the 11 new partners have been promoted from within, while four join as part of a strategic merger with Link Capital Partners in the ACT and one joins from a big four firm.
The promotions and new appointments span several divisions, strengthening William Buck’s service offering across Business Advisory, Wealth Advisory, Audit and Assurance and in-house marketing capabilities.
This is the largest group of new partners and principals that William Buck has announced. It’s a direct result of heightened demand for the firm’s services and investment in its people through a learning and development program that supports internal career progression.
Jamie McKeough, Chair of William Buck Australia and New Zealand, said that to become a partner at William Buck, an individual must demonstrate exceptional ability in their field, outstanding leadership skills, and a genuine relationship-driven approach with clients and staff.
“Those whom we have welcomed into key leadership positions this year have shown a strong alignment with our CARE values and delivered exceptional client service consistently,” said Mr McKeough.
“Alice, 39, is a Chartered Accountant who began her career at William Buck South Australia as a graduate in 2007. Highly motivated and an excellent role model, Alice is a mentor to many and has been instrumental in developing younger team members,” said Mr McKeough.
“Daniel Creagan, 34, has been promoted to Partner, Wealth Advisory. With steadfast dedication to his clients, Daniel is motivated by their trust in him and was recently awarded the firm’s award for Exemplary Client Service.
“Highly collaborative, he approaches colleagues from the integrated firm’s other divisions when he believes their expertise will help his clients achieve outstanding results.”
Of the 28 partners appointed in the last 12 months, 11 were lateral hires, while 17 were internal promotions – evidence of the firm’s commitment to developing our people to realise their full potential.
William Buck continues its upward growth trajectory, aiming to solidify its position as Australia’s leading accounting and advisory firm to the middle market.
Part of the firm’s strategy is to create ongoing value for all stakeholders, including our people, and we are an employer of choice, having been awarded Best Workplace Awards in the last two years.
We are excited to welcome our new leaders on this journey and look forward to their significant contributions.
