William Buck raises over $10,500 for Guide Dogs SA/NT

By William Buck

William Buck has raised over $10,500 for Guide Dogs SA/NT through its participation in PAWGUST this year, and $40,000 since 2021.

During the month of August, a team of 13 from William Buck Adelaide covered an impressive 1,050 kilometres as part of Guide Dog’s annual fitness and fundraising challenge.

Lee Fuller, William Buck Partner and Patrick Ryan, Assistant Manager – Business Advisory, completed a half-marathon in support of the cause.

Guide Dogs SA/NT CEO, Aaron Chia said, “William Buck are a valued long-term supporter of Guide Dogs SA/NT. Funds raised by the team will make a positive difference for those living with low vision, blindness or others with specialised needs in South Australia and the Northern Territory – in particular, they will be used to support the raising and training of more puppies to become guide or assistance dogs.“

Chair of William Buck Australia and New Zealand and Guide Dogs SA/NT Board Member, Jamie McKeough said, “William Buck Adelaide are proud to have been supporting Guide Dogs SA/NT for many years through our workplace giving program, and supporting PAWGUST for the last four years, raising over $40,000 in that time. We were also pleased to support Guide Dogs as a corporate partner for their Guide Dogs Day in March pledging $7,500.”

In recognition of the firm’s ongoing support for the organisation, Guide Dogs SA/NT has provided William Buck the opportunity to name a guide dog puppy from its ‘W’ litter.

The William Buck Foundation also proudly support Guide Dogs SA/NT through their workplace giving program, with all funds raised by staff members matched dollar for dollar.
