“My clients know that no stone will be left unturned and the job will be finished on time.”

Alison Anderson

Director, Audit & Assurance

Approachable, down to earth and great at problem solving are the essential qualities that Alison brings to her work with every client. Her tenacity and drive help her ensure each project is carefully managed to completion.

Alison’s ability to recognise the unique skills in her team has also proven beneficial to her work, and she believes that ‘being considerate and grateful for those around you is rewarding for everyone’. This underpins her relationships with clients whom she likes to keep well informed of any developments to ensure there are never any ‘nasty’ surprises.

Specialising in audit and assurance, over the years Alison’s work has encompassed a variety of industries from tourism to manufacturing.

Having managed a historic lodge in a remote part of Auckland, Alison understands and appreciates business through her own hands-on experience. This knowledge has infiltrated her work with small businesses, not for profits, government and non-government entities.

Her drive to mentor and inspire young graduates is highly regarded throughout William Buck. ‘Remembering your limits are self-imposed and not based on your actual capabilities’ is a mantra Alison strongly stands by. Her main advice to mentees is to ‘ask plenty of questions, and don’t be afraid to try something new’.
