William Buck has partnered with FareShare to provide nutritious meals for people in need

By William Buck

William Buck Queensland, supported by the William Buck Foundation, has this year volunteered at FareShare’s Brisbane kitchen to produce 10,895 nutritious meals for those facing hardship.

FareShare operates Australia’s largest not-for profit kitchens to transform rescued, donated and homegrown food into millions of delicious, healthy meals that feed Australians experiencing hardship. The meals are given away free, by FareShare, to frontline charities, homeless shelters, women’s refuges, First Nations organisations and groups providing disaster relief.

Junaide Latif, Managing Director of William Buck Queensland said the firm is proud to support FareShare and volunteer its time to create delicious meals for those in our community who are doing it tough, especially in the lead up to Christmas.

“The Queensland team contributed a total of 213 volunteer hours and created on average 180 meals per person,” said Junaide.

“Having the opportunity to tour the facility and see first-hand the important work being done by FareShare was inspiring to us all and aligns with our own CARE values of being Collaborative, Aspiring, Relationship-Driven and Enterprising in all we do.”

We would like to extend our thanks to FareShare for giving us the opportunity to volunteer our time and make a positive impact on the lives of others. If you would like to support FareShare, please visit https://www.fareshare.net.au/.
