James draws upon his unique experiences growing up in his family’s business and an ability to simplify even the most complex matters in his role as a trusted advisor.
Armed with empathy, an inquisitive mind and the courage to ask difficult questions, James’ personable approach has been pivotal in building meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues throughout his career.
James provides taxation, accounting and advisory services to private and family-owned businesses, high net wealth family groups, senior executives, and professionals. He has had the privilege of working with some of Australia’s wealthiest families, iconic businesses, and international sportspeople and entertainers. Prior to joining William Buck, he spent two decades in Big 4 accounting firms and the past 10 years as a Partner of one.
With his wealth of industry experience and financial expertise, James is also passionate about ensuring the smooth transition of wealth between generations and mentoring and educating the next generation.
James has a Bachelor of Business degree, is a Chartered Accountant and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has held various Board and Chair positions during this career.
