Federal Court approves William Buck’s application to extend MyHouse convening period

By William Buck

William Buck Restructuring & Insolvency have obtained orders from the Federal Court to extend the convening period to hold the second meeting of MyHouse (Australia) Pty Ltd (Administrators Appointed)’s creditors from 27 April to 27 May 2020.

This will enable Michael Brereton and Sean Wengel, as the Administrators of MyHouse, to progress negotiations for a sale of the business to deliver the best result possible for creditors.

The Administrators will provide creditors with a notice of the meeting at least one week prior to the meeting date.

The Court also provided orders appointing Michael Brereton and Sean Wengel as receivers over the trust property of the MyHouse Partnership business, which will facilitate the sale of the MyHouse business.

Michael Brereton noted that they will immediately commence issuing a notice of the orders to the creditors of the Company and the Trust as well as to beneficiaries of the Trust.
