Regional Scholarship
William Buck’s Regional Scholarship is designed to assist regional based students pursue tertiary studies in commerce/accounting fields. With one-third of William Buck’s Adelaide partners from country South Australia and a large proportion of our clients based in regional SA, we are committed to supporting the development of South Australia’s future leaders, especially from these regional areas.
This annual scholarship aims to provide financial support, career opportunities and mentorship for students from regional areas who are required to live away from home to undertake their first undergraduate degree in Commerce or related fields such as Accounting, Finance or Business.

Scholarship details
The William Buck Regional Scholarship provides:
- Financial Support: The scholarship provides $15,000, distributed as $5,000 per year over three years, to support the completion of an eligible Commerce/Accounting degree.
- Professional Experience: The successful candidate will receive four weeks of paid work experience at William Buck Adelaide in their second year.
- Mentorship: A dedicated William Buck graduate mentor will be available for guidance and support throughout the scholarship.
- Career Opportunities: Potential for employment with William Buck Adelaide upon graduation, based on performance and suitability.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the William Buck Regional Commerce Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Reside in regional South Australia or bordering towns and have lived there for a substantial part of their life.
- Be in or have completed their final year of secondary school.
- Be enrolled or have applied to study an undergraduate Commerce/Accounting degree (or equivalent) at a South Australian university, commencing in 2025.
- Applications close 31 January 2025
