As part of our 125th anniversary celebrations, William Buck has announced the establishment of the William Buck Foundation which will formalise and support our community and volunteer initiatives, and our work with charities and organisations most in need.
The William Buck Foundation will harness the corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities that is already being done by our team of over 900 across the group.
Jamie McKeough, Chair of William Buck said it is exciting that all our staff have the opportunity and embrace giving back to the community.
“Right from the start in 1895, CSR has been an important part of the William Buck DNA and something which our staff are particularly passionate. We feel the creation of the Foundation, as one of the legacies of 125th year celebrations to capture our financial and in-kind activities will help us gain further momentum in our CSR efforts.”
“The Foundation aligns with our Changing Lives philosophy, which recognises that everything we do has the potential to make a positive change in the lives of our people, our clients and our communities.” Mr McKeough said.
William Buck promotes a culture where employees are encouraged to make a positive difference in the community by giving back through donations, fundraising, sponsorship and pro bono work.
Embracing the issues that are important to our people and clients, William Buck undertake a range of initiatives to provide support for charities and organisations most in need.
Pro bono work is a key component of William Buck’s charitable activities, working with a number of local organisations and many of our Directors and staff provide support to and/or sit on boards, volunteering their time and expertise to a range of charities and organisations.
