Elite exporters share common traits

By William Buck

William Buck SA was thrilled to learn that two of our clients were among the major winners at the 2023 South Australian Premier’s Business and Export Awards.

REDARC took out the title of South Australian Exporter of the Year, for the second year in a row, as well as the Manufacturing and Advanced Materials Award.

MyVenue was named Small Business Exporter of the Year and Beyond Borders Business of the Year.

To come out on top in such a coveted and hotly contested awards program, which attracted entries from 250 successful businesses, is testament to the drive and vision of REDARC and MyVenue.

Both companies have carved out a reputation as a global leader, with an unwavering dedication to innovation being a cornerstone to their spectacular rise.

REDARC’s power conversion products are used in recreational and non-recreational vehicles across Australia, North America, Europe, Middle East, South East Asia and South Africa.

MyVenue’s point-of-sale technology is widely deployed in iconic stadiums, arenas, and hospitality venues throughout North America and the Asia-Pacific region.

William Buck SA Managing Director Jamie McKeough said both had proven their credentials as “elite exporters” and thoroughly deserved the accolades.

“We know the teams at REDARC and MyVenue well, and each is a clear standout in their industry,” Jamie said.

“While these two outstanding businesses vary significantly in their size, age and in the sectors and markets they operate, they do share some common traits.

“They each have a global outlook and a clear growth vision with the confidence and drive to make it a reality. Critically, they also have strong international networks to provide on-the-ground support as they expand across foreign jurisdictions.”

William Buck has played a key supporting role in the overseas expansion of REDARC and MyVenue. As a member of Praxity, the world’s largest and fastest growing alliance of independent accounting firms, William Buck is able to connect its clients with like-minded advisory firms across 110 countries, providing customised business solutions and regional connections.

William Buck clients can take advantage of an established overseas network of local specialists ideally placed to assist in navigating the international tax, regulatory and business environment.

“Fast growing South Australian businesses don’t need to sign up with a Big 4 accounting firm when expanding overseas,” Jamie said.

“Our relationships are global and we personally know who will be supporting our clients in overseas jurisdictions.”

For REDARC Group CEO and Managing Director Anthony Kittel, going global is a marathon not a sprint.

“We are delighted that William Buck have been our trusted advisors, supporting us for more than 20 years. They have guided us every step of the way through our international expansion as well as connecting us to their global colleagues when we’ve needed local support in overseas markets,” Anthony said.

Tim Stollznow, Managing Director of MyVenue, engaged William Buck to provide specialist accounting and tax services shortly after commencing the business.

“William Buck has assisted in accessing grants and tax incentives allowing us to fast track our growth within Australia and beyond. Additionally, William Buck has provided specialist financial services to build our export business with confidence. The team are always available, have broad expertise and provide a great service that has contributed to our success,” Tim said.

REDARC and MyVenue will now compete in the national export awards being held in Canberra in November.

William Buck also congratulates clients Consunet, BioBlue Australia and Balco Australia on being named as finalists at the SA Awards – each demonstrating exceptional performance in their respective industries.
