William Buck strengthens reach with seven new partners

By William Buck

William Buck has expanded its partnership to 157, marking a significant milestone as demand for mid-market advisory services continues to grow across Australia and New Zealand.

The firm has promoted seven new partners and 12 principals effective 1 July, in addition to seven partner and four principal appointments made throughout the year.

This continued growth and investment in leadership capability reflects increasing demand for William Buck’s specialist expertise and personalised approach to client service.

Six of the seven new partners have been promoted internally, highlighting the firm’s ongoing investment in developing its people and commitment to creating growth opportunities that drive career progression.

Greg Travers, Chair of William Buck Australia and New Zealand, said the firm’s growth reflects a culture built on trust, collaboration and empowering people to do their best work.

“Exceptional work comes from passionate people who feel trusted to shape outcomes and supported to do their best work. We empower our people to leverage the collective expertise of more than 1,200 colleagues to deliver the best outcome for clients, while championing an environment where they can build strong, trusted relationships,” said Mr Travers.

“The industry is changing, and so are we. We continue to invest in training, technology and tools that strengthen the capabilities of our people, enabling them to deliver greater value to clients today while preparing them for the complexity of tomorrow.”

Mr Travers highlighted several of the newly appointed partners and their career journeys with the firm.

Samantha Zebrowski joined William Buck as a graduate in 2015, attracted by the firm’s people-focused culture and breadth of opportunities. Reflecting on her journey to partner, she describes mentoring others and supporting their growth as one of the most rewarding aspects of her career, attributing her own success to curiosity, collaboration and the guidance of strong mentors.

Stuart Mansfield joined the Sydney office in 2016 before relocating to Perth in 2018. He credits his progression to partner on a strong work ethic, a commitment to continuous learning and the support of experienced mentors. He is passionate about working closely with clients to solve complex challenges and achieve the best possible outcomes.

Henry Schofield also began his career at William Buck as a graduate and has been promoted to partner after nine years with the firm. He was initially drawn to the firm’s approachable people and collaborative culture and values the high-calibre clients he works with and the strong relationships he has built.

These promotions span all services and offices across the firm, strengthening William Buck’s position as a top ten firm in Australia and New Zealand and enhancing its offering to mid-market clients.

More broadly, over 180 employees across the firm, or 15%, will receive career progressions or promotions effective 1 July, reflecting William Buck’s high-performance culture and depth of talent.
